Open Atelier Architects was engaged by Home Headquarters & The Syracuse Center of Excellence to design a 6 unit housing mixed use housing project that included a Laundromat facility that is also the central community facility for the neighborhood. The premise of the proposal was to address energy efficient technology that included such green concepts as a distributed geothermal loop system and solar panel array. We also included a design for what we call a “parklet”, a sort of mini park, to go along with the project that we felt would further facilitate community interaction.
