As part of the downtown redevelopment of Syracuse, NY, Warren Street South is a major pedestrian thoroghfare that has been going through a revival of converted abandoned buildings to new residential and retail establishments. This effort has gained notoriety for bringing vitality and a fresh urban feel back to an area that had suffered through years of recession and decline. This study provided some incetives for local community leaders and entrepreneurs to forge aliances and populate the once abandoned buildings with stores and residences. Today S. Warren Street is a hub of activity as a result of this study and the entrepreneurial efforts of community members.
