Historically a Boat House was desgined and built by famed architect Robert Gordon in 1880 when the original Notlymere house was designed. However the original Boat House was unable to be constructed on the original location due to zoning restrictions, thus paving the way for a new smaller Boat House and Boat Port and the replacement of a small structure that was on the property with the new Cabana.
