Our firm, (Open Atelier Architects) and many other local businesses are busy preparing for the 5th Annual Americu Buy Local Bash. The pre-holiday shopping event brings together a growing list of creative, locally owned businesses and the public who have the opportunity to discover their products and services. Open Atelier is in its 3rd year as a sustainable sponsor for the event and looks forward to sharing in the holiday spirit and spreading the buy local message.
What makes a community?
One could argue supporting each other, depending on each other’s expertise, knowledge, assets and resources. A network of people dedicated to each other’s success and Syracuse has just that in its leading local advocate Chris Fowler and the team at Syracuse First.
The 10% shift is a campaign by Syracuse First to encourage patrons to shift 10% of their spending to locally owned merchants. In doing so, the local economy would see a boost in economic activity to the tune of millions of dollars. That money is then reinvested in our community to create even more impact.
See you at the Bash
The big bash features retailers offering samples of catered food and spirits as well as offerings by local artists and crafters. Hundreds of people socialize, begin their holiday shopping and browse through over 70 vendors’ products and services.
So, if you do not have your tickets for the big party, click here to get them before the big day. Tickets are $20 advanced and $25 at the door.
