The ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers) is hosting a real estate program at the Sheraton University on Wednesday and Thursday April 13th and 14th. The Upstate NY Idea Exchange is an opportunity for retailers looking for space in the Upstate market to learn more about what makes the Syracuse environment attractive and successful. The event features several panels discussions ranging from emerging trends in real estate and development to a retail runway where companies can outline their expansion plans.
Open Atelier Architect’s principal Anthony Catsimatides will serve on the morning panel discussion centered around the urban environment and the impact of the millennials on retail growth. The panel moderated by Howard Kravitz of Re/Max 1st Commercial will also include Michael Boynton Owner/Developer Benderson Development Company, LLC, and Amanda Nicholson Associate Dean & Professor of Retail Practice Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University.
Here is an outline of the conference events:
This is a great program for anyone in the building industry in Upstate New York. For those of you who are coming in from out of town check out our Downtown Walking Tour. We will walk through four redevelopment projects that are changing the downtown environment in Syracuse. Starting at the Pike Block, we will head to City Center, The Galleries and finally end at The Historic Hotel Syracuse.
We are looking forward to seeing you at one or all of the events!
